Access to Education Bricks
This project looks at education inequality within college campuses. The goal is to spark curiosity, educate people on the issue, and encourage them to advocate for themselves and others.
To meet this goal I created seven bricks that address seven different takeaways from college and the challenges that various types of students face when it comes to reaching them.
To meet this goal I created seven bricks that address seven different takeaways from college and the challenges that various types of students face when it comes to reaching them.
I wanted the project to look inviting and approachable so I used a combination of bright colors and fun patterns that relate to the topic talked about on each brick.
Along with the seven bricks, I also created a poster featured instructions on how to interact with and reflect on the project. At the bottom of the poster there is also a QR code that links to professional articles, videos, books, and resources for people who want to learn more or for students who want to get invloved with or need help with issues brought up in the project.
The project was installed on April 27 on Boston University’s campus in the hallway between the Mugar Memorial Library and the George Sherman Union where students stopped to look at and interact with the project.
