Geo-Notes

Geo-Notes is a website and app that allows people to explore an interactive  map full of notes and messages, write and manage their own anonymous note, view notes left in both other parts of the world as well as their local surroundings, and create private maps for friends, clubs, and communities.

The main goal of Geo-Maps is to be fun, playful, and easy to use. Its versatility can hopefully inspire people to be creative in the way they write messages and interact with others through the website and app.


Geo-Notes takes inspiration from other programs like Google Earth or Snap Maps which encourage people to explore and interact with a satellite map. It also takes inspiration from anonymous social media apps like that allow people to create their own small communities and share whatever they want.


The visual language of Geo-Notes is meant to be fun, playful, and inviting. It is loosely inspired by retro internet aesthetics through the use of a monospace typeface, simple pop-up-window-like elements, fun shapes, and bright pops of cheerful colors.
